Arresøhuset, version 1 and 2 of 3

One of my mates from the danish forum, http://meresimp.danskforum.net/forum, that I always use to refer to, Is working on a new world, called The City. And she has aske the forum for help to build some houses, which, obviously, I had to try.
Here is my first entry, Arresøhuset:

As you can see, it is very sparsely decorated, as I wanted it to be very cheap. The price is about 20.000 S, so you can´t really call it a starter, but it is still cheap, right!

For almost nothing you can get your very own house and even a tiny garden and a pond along with it, now if that isn´t luxury!
When we were children most of us have probably been dreaming about leaving home and start on your own. In a fabulous house of course with all possible facilities and absolutely no worries about clean clothes, dinner, bills and so on. But most of us have also had to come to the conclusion that less than that is quite alright at least as a beginning. And can you imagine a world where a house like Damhuset is achieveable to a perfectly young adult, wow, that must be Utopia:

Back to Sweden: Majgården

I needed a house for a single sim with a horse, so I had to make a new one, and before I knew it I was back in Sweden!
Majgården is lovely little spot.  1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 living/diningroom and 1 kitchen. An old stable with box for 1 horse. The tiny garden is cozy but could certainly profit from a caring hand.

Svalereden, a cute starter

I can´t blame you if you get a bit confused because of the lac of continuity in my row of builds.
I guess they just show a perfect picture of the inside of my head: A total mess, but at least with tiny spots of usefull ideas here and there.
Today I have made a new starter on a tiny lot. It´s called Svalereden (The Swallow´s Nest) because swallows always like to build their nests beneath the eaves of old houses like this.

Today I have this starter for you. The lot is tiny and the interior cheap, but who cares as long as they can get their first very own house?

The second mini lot build: Ribisgården

Ribisgården is for a single sim, male, I gather, by judging the interior. It is rather expensive over 100.000 and because of that I have changed the car to a far cheaper model than the one on the picture. At least I think I have. I´m getting old , you see, so I don´t remember what I do or when I do it :-) Only I figured,if you can afford a 85.000 sim. car and want to show your wealth so much, you are not likely to want such a small house! Well, what do I know, I can´t afford neither car nor house. On the other hand, I love my cheap little flat so I couldn´t care less.

I suppose I could tell you, who lives in this house for real, but I´d rather not. This person is extremely concerned about quality and aesthetics and would probably rather see the total devastating misses I´ve made here  than the few hits. She would definately not be able to abstract from the fact that this is just a game, and without CC even a game on quite strict premisses. So even though I think I´ve done a pretty good job on her house, she will definately hate it!
Well, I love her anyway, I´m just a sissy, even though she´ll at most find my new carreer as an architect for sims rather ridiculous.
Which, of course, it is if you see it very grown up and very not loose at all. Because do we have fun in this world? Oh, yes, I think so! We should all play at least an hour a day, and the world would be a better place!

Krösabacka

Here is a tiny cottage for a single person, an old grandmother probably.
Krösabacka holds a single bedroom, a living/diningroom, a kitchen and a small privy in the backyard.

In the garden you´ll find a few fruit-trees and som vegetables as well.

The Monolith

The Monolith is my entry to a challenge at my danish favorite site: Sims 3 Byggeforum

The challenge is to build a box-home on a 20x20-lot. The house should be 6x6 tiles and only one floor + a  basement (also 6x6) but no roof terrace! And it should contain all what a sim or more would need on a daily basis. Store items and CC were allowed. And there was no price limit, so this little house is definately not cheap.

I have chosen to build without CC though.
