Bella Miranda, desert living

Having moved into Lucky Palms I have fallen in love with the thought of cohabitation in the old motel-like lot by the sunken lake. I think it´s ugly though so I have built another one next to it in the vain hope that the inhabitants feel inspired to give it a makeover.
Untill then let me introduce you to my own entry: Bella Miranda

It´s not exactly the place of the poorest sims, I suppose more the established singles, who want to live close to others or people who have retired from working life but still have a lot to offer to their community.
Let me take you on a short presentation trip on the next page

Lidensøhus the octogonal

I kind of like this house a lot myself even though I wanted it to be really round in stead of octogonal. I love circles, you see, and round things, round people, round minds :-)
It´s also built of wood.....I love wood as well. And has a lovely garden....no need to tell how I feel about gardens and flowers and trees and...
I found it difficult to decide wether a daytime shot or one in starlight would be the best so I´ll let you choose whatever you like from these pictures:

Maybe I should let you have a tiny look inside since it´s been so long since my last upload and you guys´ll need something new to look at in here:

Julianesøhus

And of course I´m giving you the house, where the von Dickmeisses live, as well.
One this small 15x15 lot I´ve managed to get room for this:
The garden is decoration only, even though the family gets lost in it every now and then,  I wonder how they manage!
In the basement you´ll find a small pool and some training equipment. The´re´s also Johannes´ room and a very small puritanically decorated room for a butler. He gets gis good salary and don´t have time for relaxation anyway, the family seems to think!
On the ground floor you´ll find a kitchen, a diningroom, a livingroom and a toilet.
The childrens´ bedrooms are on the first floor along with a bathroom and a tv-room.
And finally on the second floor you´ll find the master bedroom, and granny´s premisses each with a bathroom.

Gyvelsøhus

Inspired by the television series Downton Abbey I have built this patrician home.
It´s for wealthy sims, $ 380.000 is indeed a lot, but unlike real life we all know that we won´t be put to jail if we cheat in this game.....cheat a lot!!!
Gyvelsøhus is built on a 29x14 lot originally for the world The City created by Roselil89, maybe you can recall that I´ve built houses for that world before. It has been quite troublesome this one because it wouldn´t do what I wanted it to, but now, I believe, that is history. Please have a look at Gyvelsøhus, and enjoy by the way, that even though my photo skills still lac a lot, the pics here are way better than the one at the Exchange:

Maybe you´d like to have a look inside as well:

For instance to see the look from the sittingroom to the diningroom, or vice versa

There´s also the look from the tv-room to the sitting room:
Let me suggest that you continue to the next page to see the whole slideshow and get more informations about the house

Dybesøhus

Today you are going to get another townhouse from around 1900. This one is carefully restored with respect for the original materials, but the interior decoration is as modern as EA allows :)
By the way, I´ve been taught a lesson about bragging: I use to write that my houses are free of store items. NOT TRUE, I´m sorry! Some times I just don´t see stuff. But at least I´m sure there is no CC!
As for this house I believe there is only 1 store thing: The not-so-private-study door!

To give some variation this time you´ll be presented to the three floors of the house:

Christianesøhus

The previous couple of houses I´ve uploaded are made for Roselil89 new neighbourhood: The City.
I have actually built this one for her as well, but who knows, maybe she thinks that other people should have a go as well, so I don´t know yet, if it´ll be there or if I just have to save it for the rest of the world :D
You can have it if you like:
It´s a town house inspired by the ones in Ebert´s Villaby I have mentioned before. Built around 1900, I guess, and supposed to house a family from the upper middleclass.
As I write, I realize that I have forgotten to build butler´s or maid´s quarters, you´ll have to add them for yourselves if you can´t live with a maid who lives elsewhere.

Go to the next page if you´d like to see the whole house. I´ve made a slideshow for you!

Brydesøhuset, another requested lot

Brydesøhuset is another house for Roselil89´s new world: The City.
She asked for villas of all different kinds for a residential neighbourhood and I have made a few for her.
This one is inspired by an area, called Ebert´s villaby on the island Amager, which is a part of Copenhagen. It is a very interesting place with enormous very often quite pompous houses of a larger variety built on tiny lots, so the gardens are incredibly small and dark . It´s the most charming spot in the middle of the largest city in Denmark.
As the houses are so close to each other, the architects would be rather careful with the windows. Nobody wants the neighbours to know everything.
I would guess the place is from around 1900, and my house here is therefore a bit oldfashioned decorated.

The Square

I have made this modern villa for you with a lovely patio in the middle. The style is quite minimalistic, just like I like it and I have made it practically without CC.
That is, there are a few plants by sims 3 d in the patio, but that´s it. By the way, obviously CC enough to make the house "cost" 8,18 MB, and I haven´t been able to get The Exchange accepting it, so I´ll probably go back and make a totally cc-free version as well. But till then we can rely on Mediafire :)
Later: Tell you what! That didn´t help at all, so mediaFire will have to do with the CC-free version as well.
Here is The Square:

As a shell
Here´s a look from the patio through the hall to the front door. The picture shows the lovely plants by Sims 3 d that I´ll have to remove for the CC-free version.

The Star

This will be the largest upload yet on Window to My Sims 3.
And what a house!
The lot is actually not very big, only 25x25, but it´s almost 100 % developed.
You can live here with your children and your parents without even having to meet each other, maybe even your grandparents can have one of the 6 bedrooms.
Have a look here and afterwards go to "read more" to see the slideshow that really presents the house.

Friends

You just thought, you´d figured out what this site was all about and then I changed style! Or...sort of.
This time I have made a commune for adult sims who hate children. Well, I don´t actually know if they hate them, but there is certainly not left room for them in this house, whatsoever.
No, no, here we like peace and quiet, we like to have a nice cup of roiibos tea in our perfectly new african inspired living room, while we are debatting the financial crisis with our friends:

Villa Ville Kulla Daycare

"Is this place a residence or  a community lot?" You might ask. And to that I can only answer: "Both"
The ground floor is the commercial part where the owner of the house can run a kindergarden for a living. And after work, he or she can just go upstairs to the private rooms. Up there is a whole apartment with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/living room.
The kindergarden part contains a nursery, a childrens´ bathroom, a kitchenette and a large daily room with all kind of toys for kids of all ages. Even the garden has become a playground so this is just the perfect place for the simmiebabies when their parents are busy. It is build on a 15x20 lot and holds no CC but some Store-items.

Mejsebo

Today´s upload, Mejsebo, is inspired by a low energy house, I found on the internet. I had a lot of trouble building the roof, and when I was finished decorating and everything and just needed the last pictures I found that it was actually cutting through both the painting and the bookshelf in the study. Now as my building world has no rich sims who can test the house, I haven´t seen, if this matters in game, I gather the roof is down when you play, but maybe it stops the sims from reading books from the study shelves. If that is too annoying. you´ll just have to change the shelves to some smaller.
Have a look:

The second mini lot build: Ribisgården

Ribisgården is for a single sim, male, I gather, by judging the interior. It is rather expensive over 100.000 and because of that I have changed the car to a far cheaper model than the one on the picture. At least I think I have. I´m getting old , you see, so I don´t remember what I do or when I do it :-) Only I figured,if you can afford a 85.000 sim. car and want to show your wealth so much, you are not likely to want such a small house! Well, what do I know, I can´t afford neither car nor house. On the other hand, I love my cheap little flat so I couldn´t care less.

Ryefield

Beware, family and friends, I´m handing out your homes for anybody who´d like a new one!

This fancy one belongs to a beloved friend whom I´ve known for 25 years. I have had to make a few changes basically because of differences in space IRL and in the game, so some of the rooms have changes occupants. The garden is way smaller than in real life but I´m sure my friends will love the fact that there´s no lawn at all, and no weeds either only one genuine mofo grill for the barbeque on those long, warm summer nights that we do have in Denmark.......that is occasionally.
Have a look at Ryefield:

Well, maybe I should just remove the chimneys, they are SO hideous.
I really think you ought to take a closer look so

Kolvasstorp gamla skolan

I have been wondering why some lots are very popular and others not when you "shop" in the Sims 3 Exchange. Maybe it is because of the names they get. Kolvasstorp gamla skolan means something like: Scirpus Croft Old School!
And this is indeed an old swedish school renovated and converted to residence just like I have seen it several times in real life.
Kolvasstorp gamla skolan

The house holds: Ground floor: hall, livingroom, diningroom, tv-room/study, kitchen, and the former pantry altered to bathroom. 1.floor: large landing with possibilities, here used as a cosy family room, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Beds for 5 + a baby. Lovely garden with fruit trees and vegetables. Old barn with room for 1 horse, hayloft and a boxroom organized for the children to play in. Lot-size: 35x25

Ny Heimdal

NB!! The observant guest will notice that I have made a few changes to the house: I´ve added the danish word for new (Ny) to the name, replaced the roof on the tower of the house with a one that fits better and during that proces even changed the tower-walls on the top floor. The picture here has been altered as well as the link if you´d like to get Ny Heimdal.

And now to something completely different, I guess I should learn how to sort my stuff a bit better!
Heimdal is a neoclassical (I think), danish townhouse, from around 1915 I guess. Like the ones owned by the upper middleclass. The village doctor probably lived there once.

Pennyless

Despite the name this house is definately not for your poorer sims. Actually they have to be quite well off if they want to purchase the Pennyless.
Have a look around and judge for yourself.

A nice "little" house for the family of 4 who can state that money is not an issue. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a quite large family room in two parts of which one is the kitchen/dining area and the other the living/tv area. The lovely garden demands practically no maintenance, in stead you can have a nice swim in the pool or maybe have a little nap in a deck chair to the calming whisper of the many rare decorative grasses .
Lot-size: 30x30

The Pengenock

At first there was Pennyless, but probably because of the rather sad but ironically ment name nobody really gave it a chance, so the house was sold and a very well estimed interior decorating company took over the task to redo the house. And so, this is it:
A wonderful 3 bedroom villa for the wealthy and busy.
Large family room with integrated kitchen/dining.
3 bathrooms and a gorgeous lowmaintenance garden with pool.
Lot-size 30x30
No CC
