Some people just don´t have inhibitions. To them it´s natural to say what they meen and they hardly ever put their light under a bushel. I´m sure you can find sims who act excactly the same way and I wouldn´t be surprised if some of them gave name to this lot: Casa Esplendida

Desert Sports
Am I the only one who think EA´s lots very often takes up more valuable space than neccessary and even most of the time with only few good things?
In Lucky Palms forinstance they have placed an enormous fitness center on what may be one of the most prominent spots in town. I just had to replace it and thus I made a smaller but far more interesting one in a more appropriate place. I´m sure the millionaire sims will approve of it as they have now a large lot to build on right by the sea!
And regarding Desert Sports I´ve actually just give my "Simslille Fin Form"- fitness center an exterior makeover to make it fit the desert better. And frankly I expect more people to like this new version than the older scandinavian one. But be your own judge:

Kandesøhus, a luxury commune
My latest contribution to Simslille is a commune called Kandesøhus. It´s the home of 5 talented young sims who found out that living together were much more fun than living alone.
They are all quited privileged, though, which you can tell by looking at the house. I´m sure that many youngsters IRL would give half an arm to live in a place like that. I suppose they come from rich families?
Here´s the house built in solid, rough materials like concrete, steel and redwood.
And from the other side in the night time:

And here are the five young people who live in it i my game:
Siw Brunse, who´s a soldier, but thinks about horses most of the time and hopes to become a jockey one day.
Sverre Visholm is a musician and rarely leaves the home without a guitar. He wants to play every instument there is on this earth, but so far he has spent his time perfectioning his guitar skills.
Uffe Krantz is a soft, friendly guy. Quite a nerd, actually. He´s good at computers, gardening and chess and works as a scientist. Uffe used to be Ea´s boyfriend, but she was far too tough for him and finally dumped him. And the poor boy was devastated for days. It seems that he´s back on track again, though. Maybe with a little help from his friend Siw who swopped rooms with Ea so he now has someone to talk to before he goes to sleep.
And Ea Ahlmann moved upstairs and made an atelier in her room in which she´s always busy painting her next fabulous picture. She´s so full of herself, really, so she´s quite satisfied, as it it.
Finally we have Elena Poulsen. She´s a police officer and very skilled at it. Her boss likes her, so maybe one day she can fulfill her dream and get a job at forensics. She´s not the most outgoing person, but maybe she has a rich inner life, her colourful taste indicates that. And even though she´s with the policeforce she´s quite a skilled hacker.

Ildersøhus, Kystvejen 2
Here´s another house build for Simslille, the fabulous small society of mini lots.
This one is a modern single person´s retreat made as an entry for the famous Contest of Young Architecture in Sim York.
With it´s discrete choice of decoration and materials and even the very attractive price around $35.000 it should suit most single sims.

Simslille bibliotek, Rådhusvej 2
Here´s a story for you guys:
The citizens of the small island Simslille have been left in severe speculations.
An old islander, who left for the mainland 70 years ago and made a fortune, has passed away. She had no heirs and as she never forgot her beloved hometown she wrote a will in which she left a very large sum to improve the cultural development in Simslille. Her only criterias were that the poor old library of the island should be made a lot better and that her money should be of use and joy to all the islanders, young and old, rich and poor.
So now the islanders have to chose between two possibilities: Do they want a perfectly new concrete library with a cafeteria and everything and spend the whole amount on getting it OR would they prefer to save the charming old buildings of the existing library, give it a total makeover and still have a few simoleons left for other options?
Which would you choose?

The Square
I have made this modern villa for you with a lovely patio in the middle. The style is quite minimalistic, just like I like it and I have made it practically without CC.
That is, there are a few plants by sims 3 d in the patio, but that´s it. By the way, obviously CC enough to make the house "cost" 8,18 MB, and I haven´t been able to get The Exchange accepting it, so I´ll probably go back and make a totally cc-free version as well. But till then we can rely on Mediafire :)
Later: Tell you what! That didn´t help at all, so mediaFire will have to do with the CC-free version as well.

Katrinebjerg Rest Home
In Denmark it is rather common that people live their last time in a rest home. It used to be a place where you could go just because you had become of high age and maybe needed a bit of help in daily life. But the number of elders is growing here like everywhere else and nowadays you have to be really weak in order to get a room. Very often the residents are suffering from dementia and for those who doesn´t and maybe those who does? it can be quite lonely and depressing to live surrounded by weakness, decease and life fading out and a staff that is overworked and not very well taken care of.
So I decided to take part in the February challenge on my favorite danish site: http://meresimp.danskforum.net/forum
The challenge was: Build a rest home for 4 singles and 2 couples and a butler. There were certain other demands and I tried to fulfill it all. Fortunately I didn´t have to worry about real-life-budgets :-)

Modern danish
Well I´m not thinking of pastry! But architecture.
I think it´s a pity that lots of modern danish architecture quite often doesn´t present itself very well.
We have a proud tradition of high functionality in very simple almost bare lines, which in my opinion has a very high level of beauty. But sadly you can´t always see from the outside, how much attention each tiny detail has become. The way the light, that is so precious to us scandinavians, has been given opportunity to embrace the rooms, and the way the building materials has been chosen so considerate and tasteful, nothing is left to coincidence. -I wish I could invite the world inside to have a look.
And in a way it´s possible. The Sims makes it possible. As far as I and my scandinavian co-simmers are capable of passing it on that is :)

Hammelhus
And now to a piece of modern, danish architecture. I saw this house in a newspaper add and got fascinated by the livingroom windows.

The Star
This will be the largest upload yet on Window to My Sims 3.
And what a house!
The lot is actually not very big, only 25x25, but it´s almost 100 % developed.
You can live here with your children and your parents without even having to meet each other, maybe even your grandparents can have one of the 6 bedrooms.
Have a look here and afterwards go to "read more" to see the slideshow that really presents the house.

Friends
You just thought, you´d figured out what this site was all about and then I changed style! Or...sort of.
This time I have made a commune for adult sims who hate children. Well, I don´t actually know if they hate them, but there is certainly not left room for them in this house, whatsoever.
No, no, here we like peace and quiet, we like to have a nice cup of roiibos tea in our perfectly new african inspired living room, while we are debatting the financial crisis with our friends:

Dizzy´s Dimple for all party sims
From outside it doesn´t look like much, but when you enter the building you can just feel that your feet start to live their own life and your butt starts shaking. Dizzy´s Dimple is the place where respectable citizens would never let their children be seen. The risc that they´ll spot their parents dirty dancing is far to big! This is the hottest dance-club in town, 3. floors of party and two hot tubs in the basement, what more do you want! No CC and built on a 15x10 lot.

Villa Ville Kulla Daycare
"Is this place a residence or a community lot?" You might ask. And to that I can only answer: "Both"
The ground floor is the commercial part where the owner of the house can run a kindergarden for a living. And after work, he or she can just go upstairs to the private rooms. Up there is a whole apartment with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/living room.
The kindergarden part contains a nursery, a childrens´ bathroom, a kitchenette and a large daily room with all kind of toys for kids of all ages. Even the garden has become a playground so this is just the perfect place for the simmiebabies when their parents are busy. It is build on a 15x20 lot and holds no CC but some Store-items.

Smallville City Hall
I´m pretty proud of myself today. Can you imagine, I have managed to build a whole city hall in just a few hours! But then of course, Smallville is indeed a small town, so they probably don´t need much more than a couple of desks to run the whole business :-)
I´ve tried to find an english word for a place with the function of a city hall but in much smaller scale, but I didn´t succeed. In danish we used to have a municipal office in the smaller towns and city halls in the bigger places only, but now a days everything has to seem very important, far more important than for normal peolpe to understand and at best we try to give everything an english name, which kind of make things sound modern and fashionable. Thus a cleaning woman has become a renovation assistent! Posh, huh!
I have used a City Hall rabbit hole replacement rug by Jynx (link under picture) and of course you can put other rug inside the house if you like. For instance you might want the policestation in the same building, as it sure is a small town. Just remember to leave enough space around the rugs in order to avoid problems with crowds that tend stop everything!
Besides the rug, there is no CC, and the lot is only 20x20!

House of Culture
This lot has an alarming resemblance to the previous Smallville Centre of Culture, you might think. And you are absolutely right. I detected an issue that I didn´t know how to fix, namely the fact that the basement was inaccessable.
Therefore I have made a brand-new " Culture Club", and this time everything works just fine:

Smallville Centre of Culture/ Please read the correction note at the download link
On a new small lot 20x20 I have build this quite luxorious centre of culture. It is a mixed library, book-outlet, café, practice room for your musical developement, actually there is hardly a thing you can´t do here, except having a swim.

Spurvebo
I´d like to stay with the low energy houses for a while. Concern about the environment is indeed an important cause, but as you probably have noticed, there are not that many windmills on my lots. I like to use my Mb on far less courageous stuff. However, I find the architecture of many of the new danish L E houses rather interesting and thus I look at that and steel with hands and feet for my sim lots.
Spurvebo is limed with the yellow colour typical for the houses of the Skagen fishermen. There is an issue with the roof that I haven´t managed to avoid just like on my previous lot. It doesn´t affect the game though, and I have chosen to keep it that way because the use of different roof styles is important to the profile of the house. This time I have also loaded the house with paintings from b5studio and a single on from awesims. You´ll get links to both underneath the picture of Spurvebo.

Mejsebo
Today´s upload, Mejsebo, is inspired by a low energy house, I found on the internet. I had a lot of trouble building the roof, and when I was finished decorating and everything and just needed the last pictures I found that it was actually cutting through both the painting and the bookshelf in the study. Now as my building world has no rich sims who can test the house, I haven´t seen, if this matters in game, I gather the roof is down when you play, but maybe it stops the sims from reading books from the study shelves. If that is too annoying. you´ll just have to change the shelves to some smaller.
Have a look:
